VRL Packers and Movers handles house shifting, office relocation and vehicle transport in Delhi and on the routes that leave the city. The company works to the same sequence on every booking: a survey first, then a written quote that separates packing material, labour, transport, tolls and insurance into their own lines. This page lists the 2026 charges for local shifting and intercity relocation from Delhi, explains how a quote is built. and answers the questions customers ask before booking.
Delhi is run through the unified Municipal Corporation of Delhi with the NDMC area in the centre. and most household work happens in sector colonies and condominiums where the lift booking, the gate pass and the society moving window decide the morning. Heavy vehicles are restricted through the day at the city borders, so freight moves in the night window and departure slots for outstation loads are planned around it. Cross city runs of 25 to 40 km are normal, which puts many local moves in the third distance slab. and rWA complexes in the Dwarka and Rohini sectors ask for the lift booking and gate pass a day ahead of the vehicle.
Peak booking runs from April to June when transfers and school admissions cluster, so those weeks fill first. Winter fog in December and January pushes morning departures later. and the monsoon in July and August brings waterlogging at low crossings such as Moolchand and Rajokri. A packers and movers service exists to handle that coordination from the first survey to the last carton opened at the new address.

The tables below show what packers and movers in Delhi quote in 2026. The local bands cover a move inside the city with a working lift at both addresses. and the upper end of each band is a full packing job with cartons, bubble wrap and crating for fragile items. Intercity bands are set by route distance. and vehicle transport is priced as its own booking rather than folded into the household figure.
The Delhi market carries every kind of operator, from a single tempo with two men to firms that run their own fleet on fixed corridors. Our crews work inside the Municipal Corporation of Delhi limits and the NDMC area, and on the intercity routes listed below. Every booking is handled by the same move manager from survey to sign off, the services are quoted line by line. and the figure you approve in writing is the figure that appears on the invoice.

| Office / commercial | from Rs 19,200 | from Rs 21,900 | from Rs 25,100 |
Published Delhi rate cards put 1 BHK local shifting between Rs 4,100 and Rs 14,500, 2 BHK between Rs 6,200 and Rs 22,000. and 3 BHK between Rs 8,600 and Rs 31,000. Our bands sit inside those ranges and hold for a booking confirmed at least seven days ahead. A few items within 15 km cost Rs 3,300 to Rs 5,800 with basic handling, a full 1 BHK from Lajpat Nagar to Greater Kailash at 6 km runs Rs 4,700 to Rs 9,000 with proper packing. and a 3 BHK crossing the city from Dwarka to Mayur Vihar at 30 km sits in the third slab near Rs 14,300 to Rs 24,700.
| Home size | 0 to 10 km | 11 to 25 km | 26 to 45 km |

| 4 BHK / villa | Rs 12,900 – Rs 21,000 | Rs 14,600 – Rs 25,000 | Rs 18,300 – Rs 31,700 |
Distance is booked in slabs rather than by exact kilometre. Janakpuri to Uttam Nagar at 8 km sits in the first slab, Mayur Vihar to Karol Bagh at 15 km sits in the second. and dwarka to Mayur Vihar at 30 km sits in the third. Cross city runs in Delhi regularly land in the third slab because the city spans over 40 km end to end. and the third slab covers many local moves for that reason.
| Distance band | 1 BHK | 2 BHK | 3 BHK and above |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short, up to 500 km | Rs 10,000 – Rs 19,000 | Rs 12,800 – Rs 27,000 | Rs 19,600 – Rs 37,000 |
| Mid, 500 to 1,500 km | Rs 13,600 – Rs 24,800 | Rs 19,600 – Rs 40,200 | Rs 29,200 – Rs 57,600 |

An intercity job is quoted after the volume is measured. the truck size carries 35 to 45 per cent of the bill on a long route. A shared load option exists for smaller moves at a lower rate. and the vehicle is sealed at loading with the driver contact shared before departure. Outstation trucks leave through the Tikri or Singhu barrier for the north. and through the Ghazipur or Kalindi Kunj side for the south and west, with the departure slot fixed against the heavy vehicle window that applies at the border.

Interstate corridors booked most often from the city, with each city page carrying its own rates:
Delhi entry is through the border barriers at Tikri, Singhu, Ghazipur and Kalindi Kunj, the eastern and western peripheral expressways carry the long haul. and toll plus permits on the bigger corridors run up to Rs 2,600. Each is listed as its own line in the quote rather than absorbed into the headline figure. Longer routes carry higher transportation costs per consignment. and the arrival window is given against the distance and the permitted driving hours rather than a guess.
| Vehicle | Route | Charge range |
|---|---|---|
| Car, hatchback | Delhi to Jaipur | Rs 4,900 – Rs 8,100 |
| Car, sedan | Delhi to Jaipur | Rs 5,800 – Rs 9,300 |
| Car, hatchback | Delhi to Mumbai | Rs 7,800 – Rs 12,400 |
| Car, SUV | Delhi to Bengaluru | Rs 10,400 – Rs 16,400 |
| Two wheeler | Delhi to Jaipur | Rs 2,700 – Rs 4,700 |
| Two wheeler | Delhi to Mumbai | Rs 4,600 – Rs 7,900 |
Local vehicle transport inside Delhi runs Rs 3,100 to Rs 5,200 on a shared carrier. and two wheelers travel on intercity routes between Rs 2,700 and Rs 7,900 with crating used beyond 800 kilometres. Open carriers are the standard for regular cars. and enclosed carriers cost 40 to 50 per cent more for premium models because they keep road dust, rain and stone chips off the bodywork. Vehicles are driven onto the carrier, chocked, photographed and moved as freight rather than driven to the destination. keeps mileage and road wear off the odometer. When the car moves on the same date as the household goods, both are covered by the same move manager and the bundle is quoted at a lower combined rate.
| Office size | Local shift cost | Included |
|---|---|---|
| Small, 5 to 10 workstations | Rs 6,700 – Rs 15,100 | Basic packing, IT wrapping, transport |
| Medium, 10 to 25 workstations | Rs 15,100 – Rs 35,300 | Full packing, furniture dismantling, IT handling |
| Large, 25 to 50 workstations | Rs 36,500 – Rs 69,500 | Full packing, project management, insurance |
| Enterprise, 50 or more | On survey | Phased move over a weekend window |
Office shifting in Delhi is booked for a Friday night or a weekend so desks, servers and files are back in place before the working week starts. The office parks at Okhla Phase 3, Nehru Place, Barakhamba Road, Dwarka 21 and Rohini Sector 10 keep their loading dock hours. and the lift booking for a night job is confirmed with the facility team days ahead. Every workstation is labelled with the employee name and floor, cables are tagged before unplugging. and office equipment such as servers and desktops travels in shock resistant crates. Corporate relocation jobs get a cost sheet with transport, labour and material on separate lines for the finance team.
| Storage type | Charge | Facility |
|---|---|---|
| 1 BHK load, per month | Rs 4,000 – Rs 8,000 | Covered floor, pallet raised, restricted access |
| 2 BHK load, per month | Rs 6,900 – Rs 12,000 | Covered floor, pallet raised, restricted access |
| Short hold, per day | Rs 200 – Rs 500 | Used when haveion dates do not line up |
Storage services are booked when the move out date and the move in date fall on different weeks. in this city usually means waiting out a rental agreement that starts on the 1st. Rental agreements in Delhi mostly turn on the 1st, so the gap between move out and haveion shows up in April, May and June more than any other month. Goods are recorded against the same inventory signed at loading, so a part shipment can be released later without unpacking the whole lot. Warehousing runs on pallet racking to keep cartons off the floor, with pest control and fire extinguishers as standard. and the July to August monsoon adds sealed wrapping on the cartons held in store.

A Delhi quote is built from six inputs. Change any one of them and the figure moves. is why two flats of the same size on the same road can be quoted differently. The survey exists to fix those inputs before a number is written down.
The factors affecting packers and movers pricing are distance, volume, packing grade, floor and lift access, the date, then insurance and GST. Movers in Delhi price local work in distance slabs and add a per kilometre transport rate on intercity routes. for this city sits between Rs 20 and Rs 85 per kilometre depending on the size of the load.
Local moves are priced in slabs of 0 to 15 km, 16 to 30 km and 31 km and above. Intercity moves add the per kilometre rate on top of the base handling charge. and a 1 BHK on a long route runs near the lower end of that band while a villa sits at the upper end. Inside the city, cross city runs of 25 to 40 km are normal, so a move from Dwarka to Mayur Vihar at about 30 km and a move from Rohini to Connaught Place at about 18 km land in different slabs and are quoted differently. Heavy vehicles are restricted through the day at the city borders, so the departure slot for an outstation load is planned around the night freight window rather than the clock on the wall.
The truck is chosen by cubic feet of load rather than by the number of rooms in the BHK. A lightly furnished 2 BHK may fit in a 14 ft truck while a packed one with a modular kitchen, a treadmill and 30 cartons needs a 17 to 19 ft vehicle. Vehicle size usually accounts for 35 to 45 per cent of the total bill on an intercity move. is why the volume count at survey changes the figure more than any other input. Two flats labelled 2 BHK on the same road can sit a full slab apart once the inventory is counted.
Basic packing covers cartons, stretch wrap and blankets. Full packing adds multi layer bubble wrap, foam sheet, wooden crating for fragile pieces and separate wardrobe cartons. Moving from basic to full packing changes the bill by 20 to 30 per cent. and the difference between newspaper wrapping and proper material on a 2 BHK is Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 on its own. Packing material on its own typically lands between Rs 1,800 for a 1 BHK and Rs 9,400 for a 3 BHK when it is billed as a separate line.
Ground floor with a wide gate is the baseline. A service lift that takes the cartons removes most of the access charge. and most towers and group housing blocks in the city have one. Where there is no working lift, each extra floor adds Rs 300 to Rs 500 per floor per trip. and a high rise without a service lift adds Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 to the job because the carry takes twice as long. Paid parking away from the gate adds a long carry on the labour line. RWA complexes in the Dwarka and Rohini sectors ask for the lift booking and gate pass a day ahead. and societies that restrict the lift to a fixed window, for example 10 am to 5 pm, push the loading hours into that slot and can add a waiting charge if the truck arrives early. Condominiums in New Delhi and South Delhi charge a refundable deposit between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 before the vehicle enters the gate.
Weekend and month end dates carry a premium of 10 to 15 per cent on the labour line because demand peaks on those days. Most rental agreements in Delhi turn on the 1st, so the 28th to the 3rd is the busiest stretch of the month and trucks run short. Shifting on the 12th or the 15th instead saves 10 to 15 per cent for the same work. Peak booking runs from April to June when transfers and school admissions cluster. and those weeks are quoted first and filled first. The monsoon in July and August brings waterlogging at low crossings such as Moolchand and Rajokri, so the route is planned around them and the loading slot moves to the morning when heavy rain is forecast. Mid month on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday is the cheapest slot available in the city.
Transit insurance at 1.5 to 3 per cent of declared value is optional and recommended on intercity routes. On a declared value of Rs 400,000 that is Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000. GST applies on top of the pre-tax figure at eighteen per cent on packing and handling services. Both appear as separate lines on the invoice rather than inside the headline number.
| Line item | Detail | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Packing material | Five ply cartons, bubble wrap, foam sheet, tape for a 2 BHK | Rs 3,400 |
| Labour | Four crew, packing and loading, eight hours | Rs 5,600 |
| Transport | 17 ft truck, 12 km, gate to gate | Rs 3,300 |
| Long carry | Paid parking away from the gate | Rs 500 |
| Dismantling and reassembly | Two beds and one wardrobe | Rs 1,100 |
| Subtotal | Packing, labour, transport and access | Rs 13,900 |
| Weekend slot | 10 per cent on the labour line | Rs 560 |
| Transit insurance | 2 per cent of declared value of Rs 450,000 | Rs 9,000 |
| GST | 18 per cent on the subtotal | Rs 2,502 |
| Total payable | Insurance is optional and can be declined | Rs 25,962 |
The same job booked mid month on a weekday, without the weekend premium and without insurance, sits near Rs 13,900 before GST. An efficient relocation starts with an accurate volume count at the survey. and the worked example above shows where each rupee in that count goes.
Delhi moves are shaped by the colonies and by the traffic. South Delhi colonies like Saket, Greater Kailash, Vasant Kunj and Dwarka are a mix of DDA flats and builder floors. and the lift booking decides the loading window. Central Delhi and the older colonies have narrow lanes where a full truck stops on the main road. A lot of Delhi moves are intercity, to Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad or out of the NCR entirely. and vehicle transport goes along with the household load on those runs. Office moves here are large and are usually done over a weekend.
House shifting covers a full household move from a one room set to a five bedroom flat. The crew packs at your address, loads the vehicle, transports the goods and then places the cartons room by room against the inventory signed at loading. Furniture is dismantled before it goes down the stairs and rebuilt at the new location.
The scope stays the same for Delhi house movers whether the flat is on the top floor of a Rohini group housing block or a ground floor unit in Lajpat Nagar. and household shifting is quoted from the inventory rather than from the BHK label alone.
Apartment moves involve the building as much as the flat. Lift booking, gate passes, society NOC for the truck and a fixed moving window are all part of the schedule. The building office is contacted five to seven days before the date so that the vehicle is not turned away at the gate on the morning of the move. RWA complexes in the Dwarka and Rohini sectors follow the same pattern, with the lift booking and gate pass requested a day ahead. and condominiums in New Delhi and South Delhi ask for a refundable deposit of Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000 before the truck enters.
Local shifting covers moves inside the Municipal Corporation of Delhi limits and the adjoining areas. Because the distance is short, the goods travel in one round trip and the job normally finishes the same day. Lajpat Nagar to Greater Kailash, Janakpuri to Uttam Nagar, Karol Bagh to Okhla, Pitampura to Shahdara, Rohini to Connaught Place, Dwarka to Rohini and Saket to Dwarka are the lanes that run most often, each with its own traffic pattern to plan around. Cross city runs of 25 to 40 km take a departure window that clears the morning peak. and loads that cross the border in daylight are scheduled against the night freight window because heavy vehicles are restricted through the day at the city borders.
Intercity relocation moves household goods to another city on a fixed route. The vehicle is sealed at loading, the driver contact is shared. and the arrival window is given against the distance and permitted driving hours. Regular corridors run to Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Indore, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and other cities across the country. Outstation trucks leave through the Tikri or Singhu barrier for the north and through the Ghazipur or Kalindi Kunj side for the south and west. Relocation services on these routes run door to door, with the goods carried to the room rather than left at the gate.
Office relocation moves workstations, chairs, files, servers and conference furniture. Every desk is labelled, cables are tagged before unplugging, and servers travel in shock resistant crates. Moves are scheduled so that the office is ready on Monday morning. and the office parks at Okhla Phase 3, Nehru Place, Barakhamba Road, Dwarka 21, Rohini Sector 10, Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and Karkardooma get their lift slot booked with the facility team ahead of the weekend. Corporate office moves on a phased plan are split over a weekend when the headcount passes fifty seats.
Car transportation carries your vehicle on a carrier rather than driving it to the destination. Cars are driven onto the carrier, the handbrake is set, the wheels are chocked and a condition report with photographs is taken before dispatch. Open carriers are used for standard models and enclosed carriers for premium cars. Vehicle transportation is booked as its own consignment with the RC book and a copy of the insurance kept ready. and cars moving on the same date as the household load are quoted as a bundle.
Bike transportation ships two wheelers as cargo. Fuel is drained to a safe level, battery terminals are taped, mirrors and fairings are wrapped and the bike is strapped upright. Bike transport uses a shared carrier on short routes and a crate on routes beyond 800 kilometres. A two wheeler booked with the household load travels on the same vehicle at a lower band. suits students and working professionals moving between Delhi and Jaipur or Chandigarh.
Luggage transport handles a small load without booking a full vehicle. Boxes, mattresses, appliances and personal bags move on shared routes at a per consignment rate. suits students and single professionals shifting a few items rather than a complete household.
Storage services hold your goods in a racked facility when the move out date and the move in date do not line up. The warehouse uses pallet racking to keep cartons off the floor, with CCTV, fire extinguishers and pest control as standard. Storage is billed per month for a full household load and per day for a short hold. is how most rental turnover gaps in the city are covered, particularly in April, May and June.
Packing services are part of every household booking and are quoted as material plus labour. Unpacking services continue the same job at the delivery end: cartons are opened room by room against the inventory, bedding is laid out. and empty cartons are taken away once everything is placed. Customers who book both ends together keep the same crew through the whole shifting process.
International moving services handle moves abroad with export standard packing, fumigated wooden crating, customs documentation and sea or air freight. A detailed inventory, passport copy and insurance certificate travel with the shipment. The freight booking is fixed against the container or flight slot. the packing crew works to the same material list used on an intercity move.
Relocation service work in the city runs through the same eight stages on every booking. and a second relocation service visit is arranged for unpacking when the customer asks for it. Movers services for a household cover packing, loading, transport, unloading and unpacking, while movers services for an office add labelling and cable tagging. The packers and movers services list on this page is the scope used to build the quotation. and packing and moving services can be booked together or separately. Packing moving services are quoted as material plus labour, so the two halves can be checked against each other.
Delhi runs from Dwarka and Janakpuri in the west out to Mayur Vihar and Patparganj in the east, with the NDMC area in the centre. A run from Dwarka to Mayur Vihar is about 30 km across the city. and rohini to Connaught Place about 18 km. Crews run across every home sector, colony and apartment block. and the route each vehicle takes is planned against the traffic pattern of that stretch rather than the shortest map distance.
When you search for packers and movers near me in Delhi, the teams that come up are the ones whose crews already work in your part of the city. Our movers in Delhi cover the areas listed above every week, so the pickup window is set against the traffic pattern of that stretch rather than the shortest map distance.
When you compare moving quotes in Delhi, look at the line items instead of the totals. Good companies separate packing material, labour, transport and insurance in writing. The ones that quote a single lump sum are the ones that add lines later.
| From | To | Distance | 1 BHK | 2 BHK |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lajpat Nagar | Greater Kailash | 6 km | Rs 4,700 – Rs 9,000 | Rs 7,000 – Rs 12,300 |

| Dwarka | Mayur Vihar | 30 km | Rs 6,600 – Rs 13,000 | Rs 9,700 – Rs 17,300 |
| Saket | Dwarka | 32 km | Rs 6,600 – Rs 13,100 | Rs 9,800 – Rs 17,400 |
These are one way charges for a normal household load with basic packing. Add the floor charge, the weekend premium and GST where they apply. and compare the total against the distance slab table above. The full list of cities we operate in is on the locations page.
The plan in Delhi is set by traffic and by the colony rules. A run across the city is measured in hours, not kilometres, and loading is planned outside the morning and evening peaks. DDA flats and builder floors want the lift booking and gate pass arranged before the packing day. From December to January the fog slows the intercity dispatches to Jaipur, Agra and Lucknow by hours. The transit window is quoted against the route and the season. Month end dates go first and the survey has to be early enough to fix the date.
The packing process decides whether items arrive in the condition they left in. The crew packs to a fixed sequence: fragile pieces first and last loaded, soft goods used to fill gaps. and every carton labelled on two sides with its room number. Packing quality is checked by a supervisor before the vehicle leaves the gate.

High quality packing materials are listed in the quote by name and quantity, so the material that arrives at your door matches the material you paid for. Packing materials for fragile items are new rather than reused. and each piece is wrapped on its own instead of in a shared bundle. Tape quality matters through the July and August monsoon months. cheap tape loses its grip in humidity and cartons open in transit.
Fragile or valuable items get a separate treatment. Crockery is wrapped piece by piece rather than in a bundle. Electronic screens are covered in bubble wrap, boxed with corner guards and marked as this side up on all four sides. Mirrors and glass panels travel in a crate built to their size. High value items are photographed at packing with the date visible. gives a clear record if a claim ever has to be filed. Pianos, aquariums, treadmills and grandfather clocks are quoted as special handling with their own crate and two extra hands on the staircase. and personal belongings of that kind are entered twice on the inventory, once at packing and once at placement.
There is no shortage of moving companies operating in Delhi. The difference between them shows up in the quote you receive, the way the crew handles the job. and who answers the phone when something has to be changed on the moving day.
Delhi issues a written quotation after the survey. The quote names each cost line, states what is included and what is not. and holds for the booked date unless the inventory changes. Nothing is added on moving day without your approval in writing.
Service quality is measured against the inventory rather than by a call afterwards. Floors and door frames are covered before any carton moves, heavy items go onto straps instead of being carried by hand. and the load is strapped against the truck wall and checked again after the first fuel stop. The same inspection runs at the delivery end.
The crew is drawn from a trained pool that works with us regularly rather than a different set of hands each week. A professional team is assigned to your booking and the same move manager stays with it from survey to sign off, so nothing has to be explained twice to a new person halfway through. Professional packers handle the fragile and heavy pieces. and the movers team on the loading side is the same team that unpacks at the new address.
Customer care support runs from 8 AM to 10 PM on all seven days. The support team can reach the move manager, the driver and the packing supervisor without routing you through a call centre. A status update, a delivery window change or a query about a carton number is answered the same day. Customer satisfaction is tracked against the signed inventory at delivery rather than from a single feedback call.
Insurance coverage is offered on every intercity move at 1.5 to 3 per cent of the declared value. Basic handling protection is part of the standard quote. and the comprehensive cover is added as a separate line you can accept or decline. Transit insurance plans offer coverage on the declared value of household goods. and claims are filed against the inventory signed at loading, which keeps the process documentary rather than an argument.
The network runs from Delhi to Agra, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Indore, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and other cities across India. Regular routes mean fixed transit windows rather than a vehicle waiting for other consignments to fill it, although a shared load option exists for smaller moves at a lower rate. Outstation loads leave through the Tikri or Singhu barrier for the north and through the Ghazipur or Kalindi Kunj side for the south and west. and the transportation process is tracked from sealing at loading to delivery at the destination.
The same best packers standard applies whether the job is a single room or a five bedroom flat. Proper packing, correct vehicle sizing, floor protection, a signed inventory and a written quote are the baseline for every relocation services job the company takes in the city. Customers who compare the best packers movers list in the city normally end up with three written quotes. and that comparison is the practical version of the search. Reliable services show up as a quote that holds, a crew that arrives at the stated time and a delivery window that does not move.
An intercity move from Delhi crosses state borders, so the paperwork matters as much as the packing. Keep the following ready before the vehicle leaves.
Housing societies across the city need a move out NOC before a truck is allowed on the premises. RWA complexes in the Dwarka and Rohini sectors ask for the lift booking and the gate pass a day ahead of the vehicle. Condominiums in New Delhi and South Delhi charge a refundable deposit between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 at the gate. Heavy vehicles are restricted through the day at the city borders, so a load that has to cross the state line is scheduled against the night freight window. and the departure slot is fixed with the driver before the date. Check with your housing secretary five to seven days before the date. and more than that around the 1st of the month.
Verify the company for a GST registration and a business address before booking. Ask for the registration details in writing and confirm them against the name on the invoice. Compare at least three written quotes rather than three phone figures, because only the written version shows what is excluded. Sign nothing that leaves a line blank. and avoid any operator who asks for a large payment to a personal account rather than a company account with an invoice against it. Delhi bills to a company account and issues a GST invoice for every move.
The most common complaint in this market is a low phone quote followed by extra charges on moving day. These are the line items that appear late when the quote was verbal rather than written.
Ask for an itemised written quote that names each of these before you book. A figure that sits well below the bands on this page is usually missing one or more of them rather than being genuinely cheaper. Transparent pricing is the reason the quote is split into lines in the first place. and the shifting process is easier to check when every line has a name and a number against it.
Delhi has two constraints that decide every move. The traffic means a run across the city is measured in hours rather than kilometres. and loading is planned outside the morning and evening peaks. From December to January the fog slows intercity dispatches to Jaipur, Agra and Lucknow. The colonies add the third constraint: DDA flats and builder floors want a lift booking and a gate pass a day ahead. and the older lanes cannot take a full truck. The NCR runs to Noida, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad carry toll charges that are listed separately.
The cost of the same move in Delhi changes by 15 to 20 per cent through the year. The table below is the pattern our estimates follow, and it is the reason a flexible date is worth money.
| Window | Effect on the bill | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Mid month, Tuesday to Thursday | 8 to 15 per cent lower than peak | Book this window where the date is flexible |
| Month end and weekend | Highest demand, slots sell out first | Book 10 to 15 days ahead |
| Monsoon months | 15 to 20 per cent higher; waterproof packing adds Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500 | Load early in the day and ask for waterproof packing in writing |
| Peak lease season | Fleet availability tightens and rates move up | Confirm the date as soon as the lease is signed |
Early morning loading between 6 and 8 am is the cheapest slot in most cities because it beats the traffic on the main corridors and the crew finishes inside the working day. Ask the surveyor for the seasonal figure at the time of booking. the month you move matters as much as the distance.
Search for the best packers and movers in Delhi and you get a long list. The differences that matter are the ones you can check before you book. A reliable team gives a written estimate after a survey, separates packing material, labour, transport and insurance into their own lines. and puts the GST figure on the invoice rather than adding it at the end.
The affordable option is rarely the one with the lowest number on the phone. It is the one whose estimate you can read line by line. Cheap quotes that skip the survey are the ones that grow on moving day. Verified movers carry a GST number and an office address you can visit. and reviews that name real localities in the city tell you more than a star rating does. Trusted companies also answer the phone after the truck has left, which is when most disputes start.
Local shifting charges are usually quoted as a band for each home size, with the distance slab shown separately. A 1 BHK move costs less than a 2 BHK move in the same distance slab because the volume of goods decides the truck and the crew size. When you compare quotes from several movers in Delhi, compare the line items and the packing grade, not only the total.
The packing material on a move decides how much of the load arrives without damage. Corrugated boxes carry the load because they hold their shape under stacking. Bubble wrap absorbs shock around glassware and ceramics. Packing paper wraps delicate surfaces so they do not scratch in transit. Plastic wrap binds heavy furniture together and keeps dust and moisture off the surface.
Foam sheets cushion electronics and artwork. Mattress covers keep bedding clean across the whole move. Wardrobe boxes let clothes travel from the closet to the new house without folding. Custom crates are built for large and heavy items. and packing peanuts fill the empty spaces in a carton so nothing shifts in transit. Trained professionals pack fragile items in two layers and photograph them before the wrap goes on.
Charges are built from distance, volume of items, the packing material used, the floor of both addresses and the day of the week. Weekends and month ends cost more because the demand is higher. A floor without a lift adds a staircase charge, and the packing grade changes the material cost. Each of those is written on the estimate as its own line.
Hidden fees appear when the quote is a single number instead of an itemized one. Clarification of extra charges for stairs, tolls, parking fees and heavy appliances is necessary before the move. Transit insurance covers damage while the goods are on the truck, and comprehensive cover includes loading and unloading as well. Transparent pricing means every line is visible in the written quote before you commit.
Hiring a mover starts with verifying who you are hiring. Check the legal credentials including licences and GST registration. Verify a physical office address. Reputable companies rarely demand large deposits upfront or cash only payments. Red flags include an unprofessional presence, suspiciously low prices, and pressure to pay a large advance before a survey.
Looking for IBA approved movers indicates that the company meets specific banking and transport safety standards in India. A binding estimate based on a pre-move survey avoids a price hike on moving day. GPS enabled trucks give real-time tracking during transit. Confirm the delivery timeline, the cancellation policy and the payment terms in a written agreement before the move.
These are the practices that most often decide how a move in this city turns out. The list comes from how our own crews run a household job.
The season changes how a date is chosen more than how a load is packed. Peak booking runs from April to June when transfers and school admissions cluster, so those weeks fill first and carry the highest rates. Monsoon in July and August brings waterlogging at low crossings such as Moolchand and Rajokri, the route is planned around them. and the loading slot moves to the morning when heavy rain is forecast for that week. Winter fog in December and January slows the border crossings and pushes morning departures later, so an outstation truck that would leave at dawn leaves after the visibility clears. Mid month on a weekday outside April to June is the easiest slot to get. and the date is fixed against the forecast for that week rather than the month name.
Delhi works as a full service moving company inside the Municipal Corporation of Delhi limits and the NDMC area. and as one of the movers service providers that takes work from individual households, corporate offices and retail shops on the same written terms. Crews run local jobs within the city, routes link Delhi to other cities across the country. and long distance shipments move door to door on the intercity corridors listed above. The company works in the relocation industry rather than on any single kind of load. is why an industrial relocation and a one room flat are quoted through the same process.
home clients make up the largest share of the work. Their house shifting needs and packing and moving needs differ from a corporate move in volume but not in process, so the same trained professionals are sent to both. A household job usually starts with a video survey, moves into packing on the morning of the date. and ends with the cartons opened room by room at the new address. The aim is a move with no call back about a missing box. and that standard is measured against the signed inventory.
Most families book the complete scope in one booking: packing, loading, transport, unloading, unpacking and reassembly. Taking unpacking together with the move keeps the whole shifting process under one crew. the same people who packed the cartons know where each one belongs. Customers who move mid month on a weekday get the lowest rate and the calmest building access. and the crews that run those jobs are the same ones booked for the weekend slots that societies fill first.
The work is split into three groups by volume: a few items, a full household and an office floor. Local shifting inside the corporation limits takes the first two. larger loads are planned as an industrial relocation with pallets and a forklift at the loading end. Office shifting and household work run on the same written terms. and the packers movers team that handles intercity work is the same one that packs at your address. keeps the handling standard constant from the first carton to the last. The best packers in the city publish their rates and their exclusions. and the best movers in the city answer the phone on a Sunday when the vehicle is late.
Business moves are planned around a fixed closing time. An office relocation on a Saturday has to be signed off before Monday morning, a shop shifting job has to reopen at the usual hour. and an industrial relocation has to fit inside a plant shutdown window. A professional team is assigned to each of these with trained manpower on the loading side and experienced staff handling the dismantling. Corporate relocation work runs on the same written terms as household work. and every item is delivered within a specific time rather than at a rough estimate of the day.
Corporate clients ask for a GST invoice and a cost sheet they can pass to their finance team. is why transportation costs, labour and material are shown as separate lines. The contract issued is a scope document with the inventory attached, so the work on the day can be checked against what was agreed. Corporate office moves on a phased plan keep one floor working while the next is packed. and night work in a Barakhamba Road, Nehru Place or Okhla Phase 3 tower is scheduled against the building dock rules.
Customers who plan the job themselves usually fix the date first, then the inventory, then the packing grade. and the rest of the job follows from those three choices. The move also depends on a service that answers the phone during the job. and the same applies at the new location, where a lift slot missed by an hour pushes the whole day back. Local work moves inside the city while the intercity legs run to other cities. and the aim on every job is an inventory signed off at the end. Customers tell us the same two things after a move: the quote held and the crew arrived at the stated time. is what customer satisfaction is measured against.
The services offered above are what the quote is built from, and clients combine any of them into a single booking. Local shifting cover packing, loading, transport, unloading and unpacking on the same day at a lower cost than arranging each one separately. The services page sets out the scope of each line, the about page covers how the company is run. and contact gives the address and the working hours.
Delhi households carry a lot of wooden furniture and glass, and the packing is built for both. Every wooden surface gets stretch film and a moving blanket. Glass and screens get two layers and a labelled carton and are photographed before packing. In the older colonies the carry is longer and goods are carried with trolleys and straps. The load travels covered, which matters on the highway runs where dust is heavy through the year. The inventory is checked at pickup and again at delivery.
Reviews of movers in Delhi come back to three lines: late arrival, damaged furniture, and a bill that grew after delivery. Loading starts at the time written on the booking. Furniture is wrapped before it leaves the flat. And the estimate lists packing material, labour, transport, toll and insurance as separate lines before you pay anything, so the figure at delivery is the figure at the survey.
The list of packers and movers in Delhi is long. and the results at the top of a search are not always the crews who turn up on the day. Checking how the quote is written, who does the work and what is excluded tells more than the headline figure does.
Moving companies in the city quote over the phone in most cases. packing and moving companies that run their own staff send a surveyor and write the figure down. Our packers and movers team does the second, and the packers and movers scope covers packing, loading, transport, unloading and unpacking. Packers and movers services should be listed one by one in the quotation. and packers and movers rates that sit far below the bands on this page are normally missing a line.
The market includes firms that only book vehicles and firms that keep their own crew, and the two quote very differently. Packers and movers who run a survey before quoting will ask about the floor, the lift and the parking at both ends. and packers and movers who quote on the phone will not. Our teams give the same written figure after the survey, hold it for the booked date. and add nothing on the morning of the move. Safe and secure transportation is handled by sealing the vehicle at loading and sharing the driver contact before departure. and vehicle transportation runs as its own consignment with a condition report. International relocation work moves on export standard packing with the customs documents filed ahead of the freight booking. and household shifting on an intercity route is covered by the same inventory used at packing. Movers services on intercity routes include door delivery, unpacking and reassembly at the destination. and movers services for the office line add server packing and cable tagging.
To start with, check that the operator is a packing and moving company with a registered address rather than a booking desk that hands the job to whoever is free. A movers company of that kind will tell you which packing and moving service it is quoting for, what the service includes. and which of the packers and movers services are handled by its own staff. Every line is quoted separately. and that one question separates a company with its own crews from one that only passes work along.
The second check is on material. Ask which packing materials are being used and how many of each. a company that quotes for high quality material and then arrives with thin cartons has already shown how the job will run. The list should match the quotation, the material for breakable pieces should be new rather than reused. and fragile items should be wrapped one at a time. Packing quality is the part of the job you can verify at the door before anything leaves the flat.
The third check is on range. A wide network of routes covers a move to any other city in the country on a single booking. matters if you are shifting for a job and need one point of contact. Long distance work is where a company with a wide network saves days. the vehicle does not have to wait for other loads to fill it before it leaves.
The fourth check is on flexibility. A booking that can absorb a change of date by phone call, without a new quote, is the one that holds when haveion dates move. Clients who have to shift at short notice rely on this. and the rest of the job stays on schedule once the date is fixed.
The fifth check is on what is actually included. Reliable operators keep the same price from survey to delivery, quality services are measured against the signed inventory. and the best movers in the city put every exclusion in writing before the advance is paid. Customers looking for the best packers list in the city normally arrive at the same three written quotes. and the comparison is what makes the decision.
Finally, ask who does the work. Packing, loading and transport kept in house means the packers movers crew named in your booking is the crew that arrives. Right packers selection also means asking for the GST details, the registered address and a sample invoice before paying anything. The packers movers rates on this page are the bands the company quotes against. and any figure far below them is normally missing one of the lines listed in the hidden charges section.
Before you confirm a booking, ask the packers and movers for the GST details, the registered address and a sample invoice. and ask which of the services on this page are handled by their own crew. Most operators answer both questions on the first call, and those who do not are easy to rule out. The packers and movers charges table on this page shows the bands used for a normal household load. and the packers and movers process section sets out the eight steps from survey to sign off. A survey can be done at your address or over a video call. Two more questions are worth asking before the date is fixed: how many jobs the crew has run on your own route. and which references you can call. The first shows how familiar the driver is with the parking and gate rules at both ends. and the second shows how the company behaves when a delivery window has to change.

Quick answer. Packers and movers charges in Delhi start at Rs 4,500 for a 1 BHK local move and run Rs 8,000 to 14,000 for a 2 BHK, Rs 12,000 to 21,000 for a 3 BHK and Rs 18,000 to 32,000 for a 4 BHK inside the NCR. Intercity moves out of Delhi start near Rs 9,000 for 300 km and reach Rs 45,000 plus for a 3 BHK over 2,000 km. All figures exclude 18 per cent GST. Updated October 2026.
These are the bands our crews quote for a full service job inside Delhi. The figure covers complete packing, labour for loading and unloading, transport in a vehicle sized to the inventory, and one flight of stairs served by a working lift.

These are the corridors our crews run through the week, with the real distance and the price band for a 1 BHK and a 2 BHK. The bands assume full service and a working lift at both ends.
| Corridor | Distance | 1 BHK | 2 BHK | Transit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dwarka to Rohini | 32 km | Rs 5,500 - 9,000 | Rs 8,500 - 14,500 | 2 to 3 hrs |
| Saket to Vasant Kunj | 12 km | Rs 4,500 - 7,800 | Rs 7,200 - 11,500 | 1 to 2 hrs |
| Janakpuri to Pitampura | 18 km | Rs 4,800 - 8,200 | Rs 7,500 - 12,000 | 1 to 2 hrs |
| Lajpat Nagar to Karol Bagh | 9 km | Rs 4,200 - 7,200 | Rs 6,800 - 10,800 | 1 hr |
| Mayur Vihar to Preet Vihar | 7 km | Rs 3,800 - 6,600 | Rs 6,200 - 9,800 | 1 hr |
| Rajouri Garden to Uttam Nagar | 11 km | Rs 4,200 - 7,200 | Rs 6,800 - 10,800 | 1 to 2 hrs |
| Rohini to Narela | 16 km | Rs 4,500 - 7,800 | Rs 7,200 - 11,200 | 1 to 2 hrs |
| Pitampura to Shalimar Bagh | 8 km | Rs 3,800 - 6,800 | Rs 6,200 - 10,000 | 1 hr |
Ten things set the final figure and the survey is where all ten are counted. Volume comes first. The number of cartons, the furniture and the appliances decide the vehicle. Distance is the second, measured in road kilometres between the two addresses.
Floor and lift access is the third factor. A stair carry costs Rs 800 to Rs 2,000 per floor in Delhi when the lift cannot take a wardrobe or a mattress. Karol Bagh and Lajpat Nagar are the two localities where a walk-up carry is normal rather than an exception.
The fourth is the month and the day. Month end and the last weekend of a lease carry 15 to 25 per cent more demand and the same premium on price. Mid month dates from the 8th to the 22nd are the cheapest window.
The seventh is tolls and the NCR boundary. A move from Delhi to Noida or Gurgaon is still priced as a local job, but the far ends of the NCR such as Sonipat and Alwar carry separate distance bands.
The eighth is the season. The monsoon runs from July to September and it adds waterproof wrapping at Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500. Winter fog in December and January slows the morning dispatch on the northern corridors.
The narrow-lane factor matters in Chandni Chowk, Paharganj, Karol Bagh, the Lajpat Nagar market lanes and Old Rajinder Nagar. A Tata Ace shuttle from the nearest wide road costs Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500.
January, February and November are the cheapest months to move in Delhi. Within a month, the 8th to the 22nd is the quiet window. A Tuesday to Thursday booking costs 15 to 25 per cent less than a weekend or a month end date, and a 6 to 8 AM start avoids the Ring Road and the DND traffic on loading day.
Winter fog in December and January slows the morning dispatch on the northern corridors by hours. The monsoon from July to September brings waterlogging on the low-lying stretches near the Yamuna and on the Noida side. Month end and the Diwali fortnight carry 20 to 25 per cent premium pricing and the slots fill 3 to 5 weeks ahead.
Three local conditions shape a Delhi move more than the distance. The first is the narrow-lane problem in Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and Old Rajinder Nagar, where a 14 ft truck cannot reach the building and a Tata Ace shuttle is standard. The second is the NCR boundary, which does not change the local charge band but does change the society rules at the destination.
The third is the Metro construction and the road diversions around it. Crews that start at 6 AM get through before the rush, and the loading window is agreed with the RWA or the society office before the date is confirmed.
Most societies across the NCR ask for a gate pass and a service lift booking 48 hours ahead, with a refundable shifting deposit of Rs 500 to Rs 2,000. The MyGate and ApnaComplex apps handle the approval in most towers.
Four charges appear most often after the goods are already loaded. The stair carry at Rs 800 to Rs 2,000 per floor. The narrow-lane shuttle at Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500 in Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and Old Rajinder Nagar. The society shifting deposit, refundable and usually Rs 500 to Rs 2,000. And waiting time at either end when the gate pass or the lift booking is late.
The crews run every major locality in Delhi through the week. The table below lists the areas we work in most often, with the local conditions that shape a move there.
| Locality | Local condition | Typical 2 BHK band |
|---|---|---|
| Rohini | Settled family housing across numbered sectors, lifts in most blocks | Rs 8,000 - 19,000 |
| Janakpuri | Mixed DDA and builder flats, lift availability drives the price | Rs 8,000 - 19,000 |
| Lajpat Nagar | Market lanes need a shuttle, parking timed around trading hours | Rs 8,500 - 19,000 |
| Karol Bagh | Narrow gullies, no lift in most blocks, walk-up carry standard | Rs 11,000 - 21,000 |
| Pitampura | Cooperative societies with lifts, parking close to the entrance | Rs 10,000 - 19,000 |
| Saket | Premium South Delhi, high-value contents, custom crating standard | Rs 11,500 - 22,000 |
| Vasant Kunj | Diplomatic belt, villa and 3 BHK moves, detailed inventory | Rs 12,000 - 24,000 |
| Mayur Vihar | DDA and cooperative societies, many without service lifts | Rs 9,500 - 18,000 |
| Preet Vihar | Dense builder floors, limited street parking, early start needed | Rs 9,500 - 18,500 |
| Rajouri Garden | Mixed DDA and builder floors, Metro interchange nearby | Rs 10,000 - 19,000 |
| Uttam Nagar | Narrowest lanes in West Delhi, shuttle vehicle standard | Rs 8,500 - 16,000 |
| Dwarka | Sector high-rises with lifts and parking at the entrance | Rs 8,000 - 19,000 |
Five papers close a move properly. The first is a written estimate on the company letterhead with the GSTIN printed on it, itemised into packing material, labour, transport, tolls and insurance. The second is the GST invoice at the time of the advance. The third is the inventory list, made at the pickup and signed by both sides.
The fourth is the Lorry Receipt for an intercity move, which carries the vehicle number and the route. The fifth is the proof of delivery, signed only after the inventory has been checked at the destination. Keep a photograph of every paper rather than relying on the copy in the truck.
Lift access. A 2 BHK in a block with a working service lift lands near Rs 8,000, while the same inventory on the fourth floor of a DDA block without a lift reaches Rs 14,000 because of the stair carry at Rs 800 to Rs 2,000 per floor.
Yes. A move from Delhi to Noida or Gurgaon is priced as a local job because the distance is within the NCR. Crossing the boundary does not change the charge band, though the destination may have its own society rules.
Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Paharganj, Chandni Chowk and Old Rajinder Nagar. A 14 ft truck cannot reach most buildings in these areas, so a Tata Ace shuttles the load from the nearest wide road at Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500.
The minimum is Rs 2,800 to Rs 3,500 for a single room local move within 15 km. That covers packing, labour, transport in a small vehicle and one flight of stairs served by a working lift.
Volume, distance and service level decide the figure. Volume is counted at the survey and it picks the vehicle. Distance is the road kilometres between the two addresses. Tolls, permits and GST sit on separate lines.
